Each year, we honor volunteers who have contributed in vitally important ways to the Lung Association's success. Take a look at the most recent honorees at our Spotlight Awards event.
Ongoing volunteer needs around the region include:
- Administrative: We often find ourselves in need of someone to fulfill literature requests, maintain databases, do mailings for special events and other general clerical activities.
- Special Events: We need your help to plan our events and make sure they run smoothly!
- Media Outreach: The American Lung Association is a major source of information for radio, TV and newspaper reporters. We are looking for respiratory therapists, school nurses, pulmonary physicians and people with lung disease to share their experiences.
- Speaking Engagements: If you have a story to tell about how tobacco or asthma has affected your life, or if you are a health educator who would like to volunteer your time, please join us. We receive many requests for speakers to enlighten and educate audiences on these topics. There is a group waiting to hear your story!
