Better Breathers clubs offer lung disease patients education and support to better manage their breathing. The clubs can significantly improve the quality of life for patients suffering from lung disease, and the relationships members develop with one another last for a lifetime. Listed here will be a variety of clubs and support groups offered across the state that are not affiliated with the American Lung Association of North Carolina. - TB Housing & Incentive Fund
In partnership with the Epidemiology Division, Communicable Disease/TB Control Branch, the American Lung Association of NC offers financial resources for health department personnel to purchase or otherwise provide incentives for tuberculosis patients, when such incentives are necessary to ensure compliance with and completion of supervised drug therapy. With medical approval, funds can also be allocated to provide temporary housing to patients receiving care for TB through health departments for the duration of treatment. - Tuberculosis Control
