North Carolina Thoracic Society

The North Carolina Thoracic Society is an affiliated chapter of the American Thoracic Society that works in partnership with the American Lung Association of North Carolina.

NCTS works to further clinical, epidemiological and scientific studies to tuberculosis and other pulmonary diseases and to promote the professional education of its members.

Physicians and all other members of the health profession interested in the respiratory diseases are eligible for membership.

Expenses of the Society are underwritten by the American Lung Association of North Carolina and membership dues.

A membership meeting is held annually. Scientific sessions include lectures by outstanding physicians in the field of respiratory care and presentations of research papers on relevant topics.
