  • Asthma
Asthma is a serious chronic illness which causes inflammation of the airways and increased production of mucous in the airways.  resulting asthma attack occurs when the airways are overtaxed and begin to spasm.
  • Cancer
Lung cancer is the leading cancer killer among men and women in the U.S., killing more people each year than breast, prostate, and colon cancers combined.
  • COPD/Emphysema
Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) includes emphysema and chronic bronchitis--diseases that are characterized by obstruction to air flow. Because emphysema and chronic bronchitis frequently coexist, physicians use the term COPD to describe the symptoms
  • Flu and Pneumonia
Influenza is a contagious disease caused by a virus. A virus is a germ that is very small. Influenza viruses infect many parts of the body, including the lungs.   Pneumonia is a serious infection or inflammation of your lungs. The air sacs in the lungs fill with pus and other liquid. Oxygen then has trouble reaching your blood.
  • Tuberculosis
Tuberculosis is a communicable, potentially deadly disease that usually affects the lungs but can attack other parts of the body as well. It is spread when a person with an active case of TB breathes out the disease-causing bacteria, which are then inhaled by another person.
