About Us

The American Lung Association In North Carolina fights for healthy lungs and clean air through prevention, intervention, and innovation. Our vision is a world free from lung disease, and we fight the diseases and poisons that harm the lungs of our families and communities.

In 2007, the American Lung Association In North Carolina merged with the Lung Associations of Maryland and Virginia to become the American Lung Association of the Atlantic Coast. The American Lung Association of the Atlantic Coast serves communities in Maryland, Virginia and North Carolina, doing business in each state under the names American Lung Association In North Carolina, American Lung Association In Maryland, and American Lung Association In Virginia.
